Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or place entered into a search box is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not keep a separate log or stored copy of those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or direct message may be retained long enough to answer and maintain the related communication. It is kept within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our systems may collect basic technical and usage details when a page loads:
- Page-view dates, times, and visit duration
- The referring website, when one is reported
- Browser name and version
- Device category and operating system
- Pages viewed during the visit
- The device's assigned IP address
Cookies and Analytics

No Criminal-Record Data on File
We do not host, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. Dallas County guidance points to the sheriff, the Iowa District Court, the Iowa DCI Records and Identification Unit, and the Iowa Sex Offender Registry as official sources. Visitor data is not assembled into a consumer report or a dossier about another person. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search tools. Information entered there is handled under the chosen provider's policy, including its retention and disclosure rules. Those practices are beyond our control, so review the provider's terms before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Dallas County departments, Iowa court and state-agency pages, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor leaves, the destination's own privacy rules apply. Review them before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their systems to measure activity across websites and select ads. Their tracking is governed by their policies.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Information may be available to limited recipients that perform or support a stated function:

Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If information from a minor is identified, we will take steps to remove it.
Your Data Rights
Applicable federal law and Iowa law may provide rights related to personal data. Iowa Code chapter 22 governs records held by Iowa government offices, while Iowa Code §692.2 governs state criminal-history dissemination; neither turns this private resource into a government custodian. Subject to applicable law, a visitor may:

- Ask that inaccurate data be corrected
- Seek deletion where the law permits it
- Object to certain processing when an applicable right exists
